Volume I — The Beginning: The Foundational Vision of The Institute for Human Awareness
Updated: Jul 28
Every institution begins with a purpose, a set of guiding principles, and an invitation.
Volume I — The Beginning presents the founding vision of The Institute for Human Awareness™. It explains why the Institute exists, what it means by awareness, how awareness can influence the way we perceive and participate in life, and how the Institute intends to explore humanity’s enduring questions.
The Volume introduces the Institute’s mission, philosophy, and guiding principles; the Dimensions of Awareness; the pathway from awareness to transformation; and the methods used to distinguish evidence, interpretation, philosophy, and personal experience.
It also shares the personal journey that helped give rise to the Institute—a search for understanding that began during a period of profound fear and anxiety and gradually expanded into a wider inquiry into healing, consciousness, spirituality, science, ancient wisdom, and the nature of human experience.
Volume I is not presented as a final declaration or a complete curriculum. It is a living foundational document: a set of guardrails for an Institute that will continue to learn, publish, listen, and evolve.
The Institute does not exist to tell people what to believe. It exists to help people learn how to explore.
